Anuj Srivastava was selected as a Fellow of the American Association for Advancement of Science in November 2020. For FSU’s announcement of this even, please follow the link (FSU News). New NSF Grant Funded (June 2020)

A new NSF CISE grant 1955154 with Dr. Sudeep Sarkar of USF as PI and Dr. Anuj Srivastava and Dr. Sathya Aakur of OSU as Co-PIs, has been funded for the period 2020 – 2023. Title of the Project is Understanding Events from Streaming Video – Joint Deep and Graph Representations, Commonsense Priors, and Predictive Learning.

New NSF Grant Funded (March 2020)

A new NSF CDS&E grant DMS 1953087 with Dr. Anuj Srivastava as PI and Dr Chao Huang as Co-PI, has been funded for the period 2020 – 2023. Title of the Project is Geometrical Regression Models Using Complex Shape Variables.

Carlos Soto Successfully Defends his PhD (July, 2020)

Carlos Soto successfully defended his dissertation on July 3rd, 2020. Many congratulations to Dr. Soto. The title of his dissertation is Structural Data Analysis in Bioinformatics: A Focus on Chromosomes and Proteins. He is joining Penn State Statistics department as a postdoc.

Xiaoyang Guo Successfully Defends his PhD (April, 2020)

Xiaoyang Guo successfully defended his dissertation on April 7th, 2020. Many congratulations to Dr. Guo. The title of his dissertation is Geometrical Tools for Statistical Analysis of Graphical Shapes. He is going to work for Facebook.

New NIH R01 Grant Funded (September, 2019)

A new NIH grant with Dr. Suprateek Kundu of Emory University as PI and several others including Dr. Anuj Srivastava as a Co-PI has been funded for the period 2019 – 2024. Title of the Project is Integrative Brain Network-Based Analysis of Heterogeneous PTSD Data.

Mengyu Dai Successfully Defends his PhD (February, 2020)

Mengyu Dai successfully defended his dissertation on February 27th, 2020. Many congratulations to Dr. Dai. The title of his dissertation is Inferences from Longitudinal Image Data Using SPDM Trajectories. Mengyu is going to work for Microsoft.
